Terms of business
How quotes, payments, extra work and putting things right work when we do a job for you.
Last updated: 19 October 2026
In short: we visit for free, give you a fixed price in writing, and that is the price you pay. Any deposit or stage payment is written on your quote. You can cancel within 14 days, and if anything we do isn't right, we come back and put it right at our cost.

1. Who we are
These terms apply to building and plastering work carried out by Ignat Construction Ltd ("we", "us"), a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 16480006, registered office 12 Mount Pleasant Road, Dartford, England, DA1 1TH. Phone 07438 096619, email ignatconstruction@gmail.com.
They sit alongside your written quote. If your quote says something different from these terms, the quote applies. Our website terms of use cover this website only.
2. Quotes
- Visiting, measuring and pricing your job is free, and there is nothing to pay if you decide not to go ahead.
- Your quote is a fixed, itemised price in writing. It sets out the work, the price, any deposit and when each payment is due.
- Your quote shows the date it was written and how long the price holds.
3. Accepting a quote
The contract starts when you accept the quote in writing, for example by email or text message. We then agree start dates with you.
4. Paying
- You pay the amounts, and at the times, written on your quote. If the quote asks for a deposit, it is used to book your dates and order materials for your job.
- Our invoice matches the quote, plus any extra work you agreed in writing (section 5).
- You can pay as shown on the invoice. Where online payment is offered on our website, you can also pay there with Revolut Pay or a card. Online payments are handled by Revolut; we never see your card details.
5. Extra work and changes
If you ask for work that isn't on the quote, or something hidden comes to light once we start (for example blown plaster behind tiles), we stop and tell you. Extra work is priced in writing and only done once you have agreed to it.
6. Before and during the job
- Please give us access to the rooms or areas on the agreed days, and use of water and electricity.
- We put dust sheets down before we start.
- If we can't get in on an agreed day, we'll agree a new date with you.
7. Drying and finishing
New plaster has to dry before it is painted. That usually takes four to seven days, depending on the room, the season and the ventilation. Put a mist coat on first (emulsion watered down roughly 70/30) before any topcoats, or the paint can peel later.
8. Cancelling
You can cancel within 14 days of accepting a quote, and in some other cases. How it works, what you pay and how refunds are made are on our cancellation and refunds page.
9. If something isn't right
The law requires us to do the work with reasonable care and skill (Consumer Rights Act 2015, section 49). If something isn't right, tell us as soon as you can. We will come back and put it right within a reasonable time, at our cost, including labour and materials (section 55). If that isn't possible, or isn't done within a reasonable time, you can ask for an appropriate reduction in the price (section 56). None of this takes away your other legal rights.
10. Contact and complaints
Call 07438 096619, email ignatconstruction@gmail.com, or write to 12 Mount Pleasant Road, Dartford, England, DA1 1TH. We aim to sort any problem out directly with you.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your own courts.
